Default Pretty Boy Floyd moving to MMA?

http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/box...ory?id=3165552

What a dumb career move This reminds me of when Jordan left the NBA for minor league baseball.

Floyd will flop in MMA.

Poor analogy. There are no similar skills used for basketball and baseball.

Boxing aka punching is a fairly big part of MMA. As the article states Mayweather is the best boxer in the world. So there are skills that he brings with him to MMA (if he decides to do this).

Never a dumb move to go from dying sport to one that is up and coming.

He'll have serious work to do on his ground game, but there are a few guys that have converted decently.

A few weeks ago I launched my own blog about Seattle Sounders FC and Life in Puget Sound. I won't be by these parts often as my focus has changed. Sorry about the unannounced retirement.
