My thoughts:
1. Again, Brad Childress has failed this team. There is no way possible this team should end up with a worse record than Mike Tice's rag-tag bunch last year, but it will. The talent is too good. I think if Childress wasn't a first year coach, he should be fired. It is tough to underachive more than major dad has this year. 2. For a coach that supposedly preaches discipline......how are the Vikings leading the league in penalties per game? 3. The cover-2 defense only works with preasure on the QB, and our inability to get to the QB was on display again today as weinie arm Chad Pennington carved up the secondary. Erasmus James' injury has really hurt the defense. 4. Tavaris Jackson FINALLY gets into a game. Unfortunately for the Vikings it was too late into the game and too late into the season. I could go on and on.....but I'm too frusterated at this point with our jackass of a coach. |

I hear ya., You knew from the beginning, especially with Pennington's weak arm, that they were gonna dink and dunk. So, why the @!#@ would we keep our corners backed off and also keep playing zone? No pass rush, which is a MUST in the Tampa 2 D yet we keep running that same crap???? How dumb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You'd think Tomlin will have learned. I didn't really see any 3-4 to combat this, no zone blitzing, only some man coverage. This zone crap doesn't work when you can't get to the QB.
On Offense, same ol' szit. We always run on 2nd and long and throw short of the flags on 3rd down, hoping the player can break a tackle. All year and it HASN'T worked. So, WHY KEEP ----ING DOING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????? Answer. Childress and his stubborn nonsense. I can't even talk anymore. |
