Default Peterson Doesn’t Practice

ProFootballTalk.com - PETERSON DOESN’T PRACTICE

There might be a new starting running back to go with the new starting quarterback in Minnesota.

On Wednesday, running back Adrian Peterson practiced on a limited basis with a hamstring injury. On Thursday, he didn’t practice at all.

“It’s a concern,” coach Brad Childress said. “Your legs are your legs. We’ll just see how he comes out by the time we get to Sunday.”

The injury happened late in the Week Two loss to the Colts.

“This is how we get our work done. Our legs,” Peterson said. “That’s the most important part of our body, so it was pretty scary.”

If Peterson can’t play, Chester Taylor will get the start.

Also missing practice on Thursday were receiver Sidney Rice (knee) and safety Madieu Williams (neck).
