Default Bogut, Villanueva now signed through 2008-09 season

Quote:
MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Bucks picked up the final option years on the contracts of center Andrew Bogut and forward Charlie Villanueva on Thursday.

Bogut, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2005 draft, and Villanueva, the seventh pick that year, are now signed through the 2008-09 season.

As part of the new collective bargaining agreement, their rookie contracts in 2005 were two years in length, with team options for the third and fourth seasons.

Good news for Bucks fans. Charlie and Bogut are two big men who if healthy can be the center of the franchise. Both got injured last season, Charlie V. missed many games.

Good to here! Throw Yi into the mix and the Bucks have a very promising core of big men on the team.

I like the Bucks core

I cant believe they havent re-signed Charlie Bell yet, their bench is kinda weak & bringing Bell back would boost it a great deal

Charlie Bell won't be retutning.

Wonder what the deal is? As far as I know, the fans and his teammates love him. Maybe he just doesn't like the city.

Well what I had read was the Bucks werent willing to pony up the money.

I think the last offer i read was something like 800k-1.5 mil or something

So it just seems like the Bucks werent willing to give him the money, which is kind of dumb because he wasnt asking for all that much and he was a key member of your team.
