Milwaukee Bucks guard Earl Boykins is more than just a novelty act, a 5-foot-5 basketball player in a league populated by 7-foot centers and 6-11 forwards.

He is a legitimate National Basketball Association point guard, a player who can create headaches for opposing defenses.

But always, when talking about Boykins, the conversation goes back to his size, at 5-5 and 133 pounds. He is the second-shortest player in NBA history, taller only than 5-3 Muggsy Bogues.

Boykins is shorter than another diminutive guard, 5-7 Spud Webb, who gained his fame with the Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings during the 1980s and '90s.
