Post Kenny Lofton

I have seen on a number of other Message Boards that the Fans are Talking the Brewers should go after him.

Although I've never a fan of those kind of topics but I thought it may help to get the discussions started.

So tell us do you think this would be a smart thing for the Brewers to do?

I think it would be a better move than Roberts. You could probably get Lofton on a one year deal plus an option. And Lofton is still a good player, it would allow Weeks to move down in the order too. And I think he could swoop in and sign him now, I have confidence that he'll be able to thin out the outfield getting rid of a combination of Clark, Mench and Jenkins.

yeah, The options I have read do make me think this would be a good move unless they are working on something better for the outfield and you never know.

We can hope.

You can scratch Lofton's name off the list
Quote:
IRVING, Texas (AP) -- Outfielder Kenny Lofton and the Texas Rangers are closing in on a contract agreement.

While a deal hasn't yet been reached, a person familiar with the negotiations said Sunday the sides are getting close. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because talks are ongoing.

Lofton, who turns 40 on May 31, hit .301 with 32 steals and 41 RBIs for the Los Angeles Dodgers last season but was just 1-for-13 (.077) as the Dodgers were swept by the New York Mets in the first round of the playoffs

Alright, That's fine. It really is best that the Brewers don't go signing any outfielders before they get raid of a few they already have.
