Bush will certainly have more standing with pitching coach Mike Maddux and manager Ned Yost than he did last year, when Bush was new to the team. But I still think he could start the year as the No. 5 starter because of his ability to bounce between the rotation and the bullpen. Yes, Bush's relief outings last season were terrible, but the weird schedule that usually goes with a back-end-of-the-rotation assignment never seemed to affect his starts.
