Post Brewers say season-ticket sales on the rise

Quote:
Cheered by the notion that, at least on paper, the Milwaukee Brewers will be better than competitive this season, fans are responding with their credit cards.

Rick Schlesinger, the team's executive vice president for business operations, said Thursday that the sale of season tickets is up 15% over last year.

"We are having a very good off-season on all levels," Schlesinger said. Besides full-season ticket packages, the Brewers also offer 9- and 20-game packages.

Schlesinger did not provide specifics, but baseball officials say the team's full-season ticket equivalent list is around 10,000. Baseball franchises add up all of the various season-ticket packages and convert them into one number they call an FSE, for full-season equivalent. The franchise record is approximately 14,000.
