Post How will Yost align his rotation?

Quote:
Now that Milwaukee Brewers manager Ned Yost knows who his five starting pitchers will be in 2007, he must decide how he will align the rotation.

"I've got thoughts on it but I'm not ready to say yet," said Yost.

Here's one man's guess as to how it will shake out, barring injury: 1. Ben Sheets. 2. Chris Capuano. 3. Jeff Suppan. 4. Dave Bush. 5. Claudio Vargas.

Sheets if healthy with out question should be number one. But that is a big "if" especially for him. Capuano I would give number two to but barely over Suppan. Capuano did above average last season and did outstanding the season before that with his 18 wins and that shows he is worthy of being a number two starter. Three, Suppan. He's coming off a great post season and we can only hope that will run into this season. Bush is a solid number four for us. He had an excellent whip last season and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he has a better season than Suppan. The fifth spot I would definitely give to Varagas and I would give him a huge inside track on it. But to others say it is up for grabs to encourage competition. Overall I am very happy with this rotation.
