MILWAUKEE -- A source with knowledge of the decision confirmed that the Brewers will introduce new television play-by-play man Brian Anderson at a press conference next week.
News of Anderson's hire was first mentioned on the Web site of the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America and was later picked up by "Al's Ramblings," a Brewers-related weblog. According to the initial report, the Brewers chose Anderson over Denver sports talk host Tim Neverett and Ted Robinson of NBC Sports, who has experience calling Major League games for the Mets, Giants and Twins.
Anderson will be joined in the broadcast booth by former Brewers catcher Bill Schroeder, who returns for a 13th season as the team's color commentator. The TV team will go to work as early as Thursday night, when the Brewers host their Winter Warm-Up, an event at Miller Park to be broadcast live on FOX Sports Net and WTMJ-AM 620. The Warm-Up will also be streamed live at Brewers.com.

Anderson to join TV broadcast team
Anderson has minor league baseball announcing experience but it will be hard to replace Darron Sutton. I found Darron one of the most entertaining broadcasters I ever listened to. I never saw Brian on the golf channel or heard him announce but I sure hope he has a sense of humor.
