Default Rule 5 Draft

The Brewers picked Edward Campusano in the Major League portion but sold him to the Tigers for $100,000.

Then we selected...
Quote:
first baseman Michael Carlin off the Pittsburgh Pirates' Double-A roster in the first round of the Triple-A phase of the draft. Carlin, 25, hit .285 with 15 home runs and 84 RBIs in 132 games at two Pirates affiliates in 2006.

The Brewers lost a player in the second round of the Minor League portion, when Oakland selected right-handed reliever Josh Alliston off the Double-A Huntsville roster.

Here's a look at Michael Carlin's career stats

All of his stats seem pretty solid. I hope we keep him around.

So the long and short of it is the Brewers leave the winter meetings with only getting done getting the Tigers to pay for the Brewers over priced hotel bill.

I was pretty disappointed with the lack of activity not just with the Brewers but in general. Nothing really got any clearer than before the meetings. Things got cloudier if anything with Graffanino accepting arby.

Yeah, They all playing it lazzy so far.

Players are seatting back trying to get all they can and teams are trying to get as cheep they can get away with and teams are not trading becouse they don't want to give a player up if they can just sign one.

So they seem to be all seatting back seeing who will make the next move.
