Newly acquired closer Eric Gagne is not expected to attend the club's Winter Warm-Up event next week at Miller Park, which gives him more time to plan and make his expected statement about being included in the Mitchell Report.

A radio station in Montreal -- which is Gagne's home town -- called me this morning and said they heard that the Brewers requested Gagne to make a statement about the Mitchell Report before attending the Winter Warm-Up or not attend. And that if he doesn't come to that event, the Brewers would like him to make his statement before spring training.
