Default Brady Clark Rumors

Quote:
If the Sox are looking to trade for a new center fielder, Rowand is likely to be on the list, along with Tampa Bay’s Rocco Baldelli, Milwaukee’s Brady Clark and possibly Boston’s Coco Crisp.

The Sox have a surplus with their starting pitching but I think it would take more than Clark to get one of them.

This one makes no sence at All

The Brewers offered Clark to the Rockies for Shortstop Clint Barmes and the Rockies went the Brewers to eat $2 Million of Clark's contract.

What are we trying to do? Get rid of our outfield surplus and stockpile infielders? What we need more than anything is pitching. Strange offer but hopefully it's dead now that the Rockies acquired Willy Taveras for Jennings and have there outfield situation taken care of.

Here's speculation of Brady to the Cubs.

Quote:
Hendry already has said he doesn't plan to go long-term with an outfielder and block the path of Pie, but a trade could be his best bet. Tampa Bay's Rocco Baldelli, being pursued by the White Sox, Atlanta and Baltimore, is one of Piniella's favorite players... Other center fielders who could become available are Milwaukee's Brady Clark and Philadelphia's Aaron Rowand."

That would be cool if we could dump him on the cubs. Instid of the Cubs going after them better options.

Melvin shot down a report in the Denver Post that said he offered outfielder Brady Clark to the Colorado Rockies for shortstop Clint Barmes. As if the Brewers need another infielder.

Barmes is in danger of losing his starting job to rookie Troy Tulowitzki but Melvin said he had no interest in acquiring a shortstop. He said the Rockies did inquire about Clark, who is available after losing the starting center field job last season.

Good to know Melvin didn't go crazy for a minute there.

Just an update on that Colorado offer.

I here it has been shot down by Melvin saying he never made an offer. By what I here is that the Denver Post has a different standard for journalism.

They happen to like to report fun message board speculation as fact.
