Arrow Brewers mull options at third base

The Official Site of Milwaukee Brewers: News: Milwaukee Brewers News

Quote:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Brewers officials met Wednesday morning with the agent for infielder Tadahito Iguchi, but general manager Doug Melvin said he expects to leave the Winter Meetings on Thursday without further action.
Iguchi has played exclusively at second base during his three Major League seasons, but the Brewers are considering him for third, Melvin said. National League Rookie of the Year Ryan Braun would then move to left field.

But before they consider extending Iguchi an offer, the Brewers plan to exhaust other options.

"We would prefer to find a true third baseman if we could," Melvin said. "But if we don't, we may come back his way."
