Brewers sign two with invites to Major League camp

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Brewers Executive Vice President and General Manager, Doug Melvin today announced the signings of LHP Chris Narveson and RHP Scott Cassidy to Minor League contracts. Both players received invites to Major League Spring Training.

Narveson, who will turn 26 on December 20, was most recently in the St. Louis Cardinals organization. In 2007, he went 3-2 with a 5.72 ERA in nine starts with Triple A Memphis. He also made three starts with Class A Palm Beach. Currently pitching in the Mexican Winter League, Narveson holds a 1-1 record with a 2.14 ERA in four starts with Naranjeros de Hermosillo.
