Default Holliday re-signs with Dolphins

Quote:
MIAMI (AP) -- Defensive tackle Vonnie Holliday has signed a $20 million, four-year contract to stay with the Miami Dolphins.

The deal includes a signing bonus of nearly $7 million. Holliday would have been an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and re-signing him was a priority, new Miami coach Cam Cameron said Wednesday.

"Not only has he been a major part of one of the league's top defensive units the last two years, but he also has been one of the key veteran leaders in the locker room," Cameron said in a statement. "In addition, it addresses one of our top offseason priorities, which is to retain our own players who have been productive."

Solid resigning, Holliday personally impressed me with his performance last year. However, I don't really like the move because he has been injury prone throughout his career and I think he will miss time in the years to come...
