JUPITER, FL (AP) -- St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa has been arrested for suspicion of drunken driving in Florida.

Police say they found the 62-year-old asleep inside his running SUV at a stop light at about midnight.

Authorities in Jupiter, Florida, say LaRussa gave two breath samples and was determined to have a blood alcohol content of .093 percent. Florida's legal driving limit is .08 percent.

Tony can't quite hold his liquor like he used to it seems. Asleep at the wheel in his SUV? At least he wasn't still moving when he fell asleep (or at least i hope)

A drunk asleep in his car is hardly what I'd call "action"

This is not that big of a deal. I am not defending getting behind the wheel while drinking, Im just saying that DWIs get handed out every day and just because he is a baseball manager media from around the country is on top of it now. Before this the media could care less about Tony LaRussa now that he makes a human mistakehe is all the sudden enemy number one. If you want a big story in baseball talk about the Gary Matthews deal or one of the most prestige records of all time being broken this year by Bonds. Dont jump all over LaRussa's back because he made a human mistake.

I don't think anyone is jumping on his back, just reporting the story.

There is no story to report. If any other person gets arrested you dont see the media flocking over him with questions.

You mean like Esteban Loaiza? Or NY Yankees partner Steve Swindal? Or Dwight Gooden? Or Todd Williams?

I mean, I understand you wanting to defend LaRussa, but don't pretend that the media is ganging up on him. He's a public figure, and he got busted for something stupid. Luckily, nobody got hurt and the story will fade away as quickly as it became news.
