Default Players Who Could Be Traded This Spring

GETTIN' BACK IN THE SWING By JOEL SHERMAN - Sports - New York Post Online Edition

New York Post: "Todd Helton, Rockies - Many in the game think Boston and Colorado will renew discussions because a deal aids both teams: The Rockies ridding as much of the contract as possible and the Red Sox adding yet another disciplined bat to a wrecking-ball lineup... Besides Jones, Rocco Baldelli (Devil Rays), Ryan Church (Nationals), Adam Dunn (Reds), Chone Figgins (Angels), Jay Gibbons (Orioles), Ryan Langerhans (Braves), and a Brewer from among Brady Clark, Geoff Jenkins and Kevin Mench are expected to be in play. And Aaron Rowand (Phillies) for Scott Linebrink (Padres) could still happen."

Considering Dallas McPherson's back troubles have him out for half the season, at least, I doubt Chone Figgins gets moved this season. The Angels (unfortunately) view Figgins as a possible solution to the third base hole.

Any player without a distinct no-trade clause in their contract 'could' be traded this off season....

Add Jon Lieber to the list as well as Pat Burrell if the Phillies get a good offer for him.

I would agree on Andruw, but he wont accept a deal unless its to Cali or somewhere like that.

Braves Mgmt. does not issue No-Trade clauses, though. Andruw could demand a trade if sent somewhere, just because he's a Vet in the middle of a multi-year deal, but that's it.

Don't get me wroung he is still a great player and an All-star but not like an MVP and i fell most people still think of him like an MVP canidate and that 1 excellent year he had

He is a 10/5 guy though

So he could veto any deal

if the braves are off to a bad start and fall out early i don't think he will veto a trade unless it to a wrose team

He loves Atlanta and doesnt want to leave but we aare cashed strapped. Maybe the new owners pour some money into the team, thats our only hope unless he takes another discount to stay in ATL.

I don't think Andruw is going to be a Brave after this season unless the Braves throw some serious cash, and if they are out of contention by June, they could deal him.
