Then why not bring it up in the "Best 1-2 punch" thread you already started? I think it's great that you want to post, but please try to keep the area clean by combining some of your topics. And, Dontrelle Willis has done nothing to show that he's one of the top 5 pitchers in baseball. He has had two "good' years surrounding one "great" year. He has a very long way to go before being considered elite. He wasn't even in the top 10 in the National League last year in ERA.

ok then same could be said about Verlander a bit he is still young and he had a great year everything we are saying about him now we said about D-train as well so i think both would end up being great excelent pitchers and have great careers.

The only thing i don't like about D-train is his pitching windup to me thats an injury waiting to happen

Verlander is gonna be a great pitcher. I agree with Sawman, combine some of the topics, instead of having 2 threads that are almost the same.

Oswalt probably should have made my list, and I fully expect though at the end of this season that Matsuzaka will be in everyone's top five and that Felix and Kazmir will both be in the top ten.

I think everyone is over rating Matsuzaka to much and as for Felix and Kazmir I yhink Kazmir is already in the top 10 if not then right there but Felix mayber in the top 20 not 10 look at all the other good pitchers still around. Its going to be mainly up to how he and everyone else does this year

How is a guy that has a record of performance greater than Hideo Nomo in Japan while throwing a larger variety of pitches for strikes and a better fastball while being younger getting overrated?

He is coming here and EVERYONE is expecting him to be an ace right of the back and be one of the best pitchers in baseball right off the back did you watch the USA vs Japan series he didn't do that great (David Wright Homerun off him was pretty nice hit). So i think once he gets use to the MLB and settles in he will do great but not after this year give him at least 2 years or so
