Default Funniest baseball moment ever....

Home run off Canseco's dome has to be #1 for me with a close second being Nolan Ryan on the mound on one knee, arms outstretched, awaiting the arrival of Morganna the kissing bandit

In baseball in general? Promotional zaniness trumps what has been mentioned so far.

I would mention Ryan Thompson (I think) running through an outfield fence in the minor leagues while chasing a home run... But there are a lot of things in a baseball game -- on field and off -- that can be considered funny.

If we're just going for bone-headed plays... Jose takes the cake.

Seeing something get killed isn't funny.

...And what's funny about that?

If I want to see a bird explode and not get killed, I will watch Looney Tunes re-runs. Daffy getting shot by Elmer Fudd will never get old.

Nor will watching a MLB player give someone else a "Hot Foot" during the game. Beats the crap out of "Bobbled ball for a home run"

I can't beleive the no one mentioned Rodney McCray crashing THROUGH the wall while making a catch (at the Old Civic Stadium)...

I looked but can't find a video online...

here is one link talking about it: AskMen.com - Wacky sports moments

(he is wrong, it was Flavor-Pac, but I they do frozen vegitables, not meat)

This one is really obscure, but I saw it on a blooper tape years ago and I still remember it.

Bobby Bonilla was playing third for the Pirates, so it's probably from the late 80s. There was a runner on second, and he tried to steal third. The catcher threw the ball to try and nail the runner, but on the pitch the hitter let go of his bat which also went down the third base line. So the bat, the ball, and the runner all arrived at third base at the same time and the ball hit the bat in the air!
