The 2006 American League Most Valuable Player Justin Morneau finished the season second in the league in rbi, fifth in total bases (331), seventh in batting and eighth in extra-base hits (72). Morneau, 25, batted .321 (190-592) with 37 doubles, one triple, 34 home runs and 130 rbi in 157 games last season.
But who you guys think will win it this year

i think that david ortiz might win it because know that the red sox signed lugo, lopez, matsuzaka and schilling resigning there team chemistry will be good to win the division. this year i think david ortiz will do better than morneau

its hard to agree only because they don't wont to give it to a DH and only would if he has great and i mean really good numbers and if the Red Soxs don't make the palyoffs then no chance he is going to win MVP

this is main reason Ortiz is going to have to work extra hard to win it this year even though he deserves it
