surprise teams this year

with every year their are those teams that surprise people by their play during the season, both good and bad.which teams do you see surprising people this season.

I know I will be considered a "homer" for this but this is my surprise team, the colorado rockies.

I know they have not made any splashy moves this offseason with the exception of the Jason Jenning trade to the astros. with that being said, they have made some solid moves by signing Javy Lopez, Brian Lawrence and Latroy Hawkins. all of these guys I think will have an impact on this team will make the rockies a better club this season. then we have Matt Holliday, Garret Atkins who will also improve as the season goes along and will be a force to reckin with this season offensivily. I know most of the poster probably think I am nuts for thinking this rockies team can get things done this season but I believe they will be in the race to the end of the season.

I say also this year will be the Texas Rangers

Milwaukee Brewers are my surprise team this year.

Brewers are good but i still think that trade giving Carlos Lee to Texas was bad for them but who knows only time will tell

It gave the Brewers a closer they desperately needed in Cordero, and a solid OF in Mench.

That deal was worse for Texas because Lee left as a FA, and the only player they have from that trade is Nelson Cruz.

but they wanted Carlos Lee because they thought they had a shot for the playoffs, and the World Series so thats why they made the trade in the first place

well yeah, and Lee did well in Texas for a little bit, but Texas didn't want to pay him.
