Shea Stadium, which hosted its only All-Star Game in 1964, won't get another shot at the Midsummer Classic, as MLB has already awarded the 2009 event to St. Louis. Selig will likely select an American League team for 2010, but he said the Mets would be in the mix to host the event in 2011 at their new ballpark. "The Mets are a very prime candidate, no question about it," Selig said. "We will come back here to celebrate their new stadium." |

That would be great for the Mets to get that. its about time they get what they deserve especially since its been 43 yrs and counting since then we won both of our WS championships and been through bunch of baseball ERAs
