Default Worst MLB trades

I have been keeping a list of some bad trades, for one team or the other..

here is the list that i have come up with - add some if you have them...
i got these from tsn.ca - so i didnt just make em up...some crazy ones...

sorry if im repeating some old thread..just thought id add to the site...

any comments on any trade...

May 25, 1999: Montreal Expos traded Randy Johnson, Brian Holman and Gene Harris to the Seattle Mariners for Mark Langston and a player to be named later (Mike Campbell).

August 30, 1990: Jeff Bagwell was Traded by the Boston Red Sox to the Houston Astros for Larry Andersen

January 10, 1991: Steve Finley was Traded by the Baltimore Orioles with Pete Harnisch and Curt Schilling to the Houston Astros for Glenn Davis.

November 19, 1993: Pedro Martinez was Traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Montreal Expos for Delino DeShields

September 13, 1996: Seattle Mariners traded a player to be named later (David Ortiz) to the Minnesota Twins for Dave Hollins.

July 31, 1997: Jason Varitek was Traded by the Seattle Mariners with Derek Lowe to the Boston Red Sox for Heathcliff Slocumb.

November 18, 1997: Selected by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the first round (6th pick overall) of the expansion draft. Then the Devil Rays traded Bobby Abreu to the Philadelphia Phillies for Kevin Stocker.

July 31, 1998: Seattle Mariners traded Randy Johnson to the Houston Astros for Carlos Guillen, Freddy Garcia and a player to be named later (John Hamala).

November 18, 1998: Brian Giles was Traded by the Cleveland Indians to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Ricardo Rincon

Februaury 19, 1999: New York Yankees traded David Wells, Homer Bush and Graeme Lloyd to the Toronto Blue Jays for Roger Clemens.

July 31, 1999: Jason Isringhausen was Traded by the New York Mets with Greg McMichael to the Oakland Athletics for Billy Taylor

December 13, 1999: Florida Marlins traded Johan Santana with cash to the Minnesota Twins for Jard Camp.

July 19, 2000: Texas Rangers traded Esteban Loaiza to the Toronto Blue Jays for Darwin Cubillan and Micheal Young.

December 6, 2002: Texas Rangers traded Travis Hafner and Aaron Myette to the Cleveland Indians for Einar Diaz and Ryan Drese.

August 26, 2003: Pittsburgh Pirates traded Brian Giles to the San Diego Padres for Oliver Perez, Jason Bay and a player to be named later (Cory Stewart - Oct.2nd).

November 3, 2003: Houston Astros traded Billy Wagner to the Philadelphia Phillies for Brandon Duckworth, Taylor Buchholz and Ezequiel Astacio.

November 14, 2003: San Francisco Giants traded Joe Nathan, Boof Bonser and Francisco Liriano to the Minnesota Twins for A.J. Pierzynski and a player to be named or cash considerations.

December 1, 2003: Milwaukee Brewers traded Richie Sexson, Shane Nance and a player to be named later (Gary Varner-Dec. 15th) to the Arizona Diamondbacks for Junior Spivey, Craig Counsell, Lyle Overbay, Chad Moeller, Chris Capuano and Jorge De La Rosa

June 24, 2004: In a three-way deal; the Houston Astros traded Octavio Dotel to the Oakland Athletics and John Buck to the Kansas City Royals. The Royals traded Carlos Beltran to the Astros and cash considerations to the Athletics. The Athletics traded Mike Wood and Mark Teahen to the Royals.

July 30, 2004: Tampa Bay Devil Rays traded Victor Zambrano and Bartolome Fortunato to the New York Mets for Scott Kazmir and Jose Diaz.

July 31, 2004 : The Marlins landed Paul Lo Duca, Guillermo Mota & Juan Encarnacion from the Dodgers for Brad Penny, Hee Seop Choi & Bill Murphy.

November 24, 2005: Florida Marlins traded Josh Beckett, Mike Lowell and Guillermo Mota to the Boston Red Sox for Hanley Ramirez, Anibal Sanchez, Jesus Delgado and Harvey Garcia.

December 13, 2005: Texas Rangers traded Alfonso Soriano to the Washington Nationals for Brad Wilkerson, Terrmel Sledge and Armando Galarraga.

July 3, 2006: Philadelphia Phillies traded Bobby Abreu and Cory Lidle to the New York Yankees for C.J. Henry, Matt Smith, Carlos Monasterios and Jesus Sanchez.

That Abreu trade to the Yanks shouldn't go down as 1 of the worst in my opinion. It's a shame Lidle passed away though. Henry could still turn out to be J-Roll's replacement in a few years. Matt Smith should be the top lefty in the bullpen. Sanchez and Monasterios are 2 unknowns.

o can't forget about the METS trading Melvin Mora to the O's for Mike Bordick

Do you think if the Red Soxs would of traded Manny that could be end up being one of the worst in at Least Red Sox history

omg i can't believe no one metioned Red Soxs trading Babe Ruth to the Yankees
