Default Yankees Raise Ticket Prices

Quote:
NEW YORK -- Yankees fans are paying the price for supporting baseball's highest payroll.

The price of the box seats closest to the field at Yankee Stadium will jump by $40 to $150 next season, the team said Friday.

Those seats, which are going up 36 percent in price, are for the first four rows in the areas nearest to home plate and are sold as part of season-ticket plans. In the unlikely event any of those seats are available for sale for individual games, they would be priced at $300 in advance and $400 on days of games.
Bronx bomb: Yanks raising price of box seats near field

Maybe it is just me, but that seems like a very hefty price raise.
