The Cards played a day night twin bill against two different teams.

I remember that day vividly---I listened to Harry Caray broadcast one of the games. I remember thinking to myself How would you like to face Maglie and Spahn the same day? That year, they won 45 games between them, and by that date, probably already had 40.

Maglie already had 20 and Spahn won his 20th that night.
