Shaq is back to his usual self.
It didn't take too long, I guess - 2 years. It is a real shame how he doesn't care about what he does for a living. Maybe he should retire and pursue his career in the Police Department. His work ethic is so bad. And then to say that he won't have his surgery in the summer, when he is off because he's not doing it on *his* time is just a slap in the face of the organization and the fans. |

I'm glad he's gone as well. But i got to give him props for winning a title for the Heat like he said he would. I still can't bilieve the Heat won though. That team seemed very similar to our last Laker team that went to the finals and lost to the Pistons in five, except Shaq was a couple years older.

Since Shaq essentially forced the organization to choose between him and Kobe (and give him an absolutely ridiculous contract extension to boot), I'm also glad that Shaq is qone.
However, his contributions to this organization (and community) were considerable and I will always enjoy thinking back on his time in the purple and gold. That said...essentially ending up with Odom, Kwame and Farmar not to mention the off year which landed Bynum was a trade that I can live with as as a Laker fan.

Personally I love the man, and am forever thankful for those 3 championship years, and coming ever so close all those other years.
He has his downsides. But heck, so does (or did) Kobe. Shaq may sometimes may be called lazy, fat, selfish etc. etc. But still, as stated above, he was great for both the community and continuing the great Lakers tradition. I also disagree with those three descriptions BTW. Call me crazy, but I would love to see him end is career off back in L.A. (as impossible as it may seem). For a pay cut of course! lol |
