After watching last nights game, the Mickey Hatcher Hitting Philosophy became crystal clear:

"Take strikes, swing at crap"

Isn't this team leading the majors in BA and in Wins? At least top 3 off the top of my head. Too lazy to take 2 minutes to look it up.

Figgins in now #4 in the AL batting race. GA is now hot. .368 in his last 10 games with 14 hits.

Figgins should change the spelling of his first name to C-h-o-k-e.

And how about Grandpa Anderson. After one of his typical bloop doubles, he gets thrown out at third on a ball hit in front of him. Then in the ninth, with Vladdy out of the game, Garetha takes a walk! Just when we need Mr. Swing At Everything to hit it hard somewhere, he gets selective.
