Default Angels' bullpen - best in majors?

With Frankie Rodriguez, Scot Shields, Darren Oliver, and Justin Speier, as well as the rest of the holdovers from 2006 solidifying the Angels' bullpen, are they one of the best in the majors? Sean McAdam from ESPN thinks they might be....

2. Angels: Francisco Rodriguez has led the American League in saves in each of the last two seasons and boasts a ridiculous strikeout ratio (189 in the last 140 1/3 innings). Scot Shields is as durable -- he threw an average of almost 95 innings over the last three seasons -- and effective -- he led the league in holds the last two years -- as anyone in the game. The addition of Justin Speier should help lighten somewhat of the load on Shields.

Without a doubt this is the best bullpen in the majors.

Frankie is the best or second best imo. Only Nathan is in the discussion IMO.

Speier will allow Shields to get more rest and as a result be more effective.

Carrasco (surprising to me) was very effective last year and finished the year strong. I am happy we have him.

4 deep and expect one of the young kids to make a nice addition as well

Resop and Seibel will be vying for that last spot, I believe, and I actually prefer the lefty Seibel, just because I don't really trust Darren Oliver.

It is probably the Scioscia Kool-Aid but I do not buy into the lefty reliever crap. If you can get them out you can get them out. Just don't bring Washburn out there to bring him out there.

MLB.com has posted their top 5 MLB bullpens.....the Angels are (not surprisingly) near the very top....

Quote:
No. 2 -- Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
Brendan Donnelly left for Boston, but weep not for the Angels bullpen. Not only are Francisco Rodriguez (2-3, .173, converted 47 of 51 save opportunities), Scot Shields (7-7, 2.87 in 74 games), Hector Carrasco (7-3, 3.41 in 56 games) and Kevin Gregg back, the Angels added Justin Speier (2-0, 2.98 in 58 games for Toronto last season) to what should be another lights-out bullpen.

Well why not Cleveland? Don't they have a better bullpen then us? Just kidding. Still in disbelief of the rotation rankings.

#2 Bullpen + #3 Rotation = Best overall staff.
