Default B-Wood, S-Rod....

I had read on a couple different sites that Brandon Wood would likely play 3B in the majors because he really doesn't have much range and that Sean Rodriguez would be the starting SS of the future....anyone else got any insight on this? I know Rodriguez raked at every level he played, but I don't know anything about his defense

Brandon Wood at the Hot Corner?

I haven't heard a single thing about that happening...

I have. There are conflicting reports, but most of the 3B rumors stem from him being "oversized" for the SS position. According to scouts, however, he's got some fairly good glovework at SS and if he continues to improve, he could remain there. This season will be the turning point for B-Wood, as Matt Brown will probably start the season as the Salt Lake 3B, but there may be a switch during the season. We'll see.

I've heard it, too. I don't know anything about Matt Brown, but I imagine moving Wood to 3B also helps open the door for Aybar/Rodriguez at SS.
