Open Message to the Angels:
I know you are afraid of the Red Sox and clearly intimidated by the thought of playing in Boston, but do me and the rest of your fans a favor. Try not to pee on yourselves and embarrass us once again. And try not to get swept. Is that asking too much? Sorry. You are the ones who keep telling us you are contenders and not pretenders. So here is a Dr. Philism to repeat to yourselves when you feel the choke urge building: "It is not what you say, it is what you do." |

So, Doodles Weaver couldn't hold a lead. What a surprise. If only his talent matched the size of his mouth. He is fast becoming the new Chuck "Choke" Finley. Good for tough talk but not much else. So Scott Shields pitched poorly in a gut check situation. How unusual. Tell me again about his rubber arm. So the Angels choked once again in Beantown. Shocking. Tell me again about how they are not afraid.
