Who's it bad for? It seems both teams are getting players that don't fit their respective teams well. The royals are getting Gload who can't play his position well, doesn't hit for average and whose only saving grace is that he can ocassionally knock one out of the park. The Ryals seem to have enough power hitters, what they need is tablesetters and a better bullpen

It's bad for the Royals.
They traded a good arm in Sisco (I know he had a bad year) whos only 23 and is left handed for a backup first basemen who's only purpose is to be one of the layers of blockage that the Royals have applied to Huber.

The Royals organization and most of their fans don't consider Andy Sisco a good player. I don't get excited about Ross Gload, but I will be stunned if Sisco ever becomes more then a situational pitcher.
To even compare Andy Sisco to Soriano is crazy. Plus with Dayton stock piling arms it was good to get rid of the dead weight pitchers that we have given up on. Again Ross Gload isn't anything big, but neither is Sisco. It's basically grabbing a backup firstbaseman and adding depth to a poor bench by moving something we now have quite a bit of.

There's a pretty good reason that we were able to pick Sisco up in the Rule 5. The Cubs had soured on him a bit and didn't protect him. He had a good first season (no one was familiar with him), but then the league got the book on him and then we got what we got last year. I think it was absolutely crazy that he was in the big leagues last season after getting shelled continually, but oh well. Hopefully Brown and or Sanders gets dealt, and then we'll have a back up player for the outfield and 1B in Gload. Having players like this will make it easier to carry 12 pitchers (rule 5 pick Soria). I doubt we'll miss Sisco.

I almost forgot about Sisco and coming in the game with runners on base. I wonder if there is a stat site out there showing just how HORRIBLE he was the past two years with coming into the game with runners on base.
I don't care how good Gload is. I am figuring he has to be an upgrade over Sisco.
