...and plan on staying awhile. It's distressing to see that the bottom most post on this page is about the LaRue signing...almost a full year ago.
The other board is just fine, and I'll still be there while waiting/hoping for this board to catch fire again, but I'll be checking in pretty regularly if not daily. I just flat miss out the sense of "community" you get on the FanHome boards. The "other" boards are a great place to talk with other fans of your team, but if you want to talk to the baseball community at large, you're out of luck. If you want to talk about non-sports stuff with large numbers of people, you're out of luck. Really, I just miss the old gang. JC, DocBombay...so many of the old hands have basically dropped out of sight, and dammit, I miss 'em.

I read the other board almost daily, but I haven't posted in a very long time. What's the point? There are so many people and pages and pages of stuff that my opinion has probably already been discussed.
Truthfully, I haven't been as close of a Royals follower this season as I've been in seasons past. I didn't have access to the Royals on TV this year, so that really hurt in keeping up with them. I barely paid attention to the minor leagues at all this year. I don't know if this site will get back up or not. It would be nice, though. I remember fondly the days of about 5-10 of us chatting up the Royals on here. It was easier to get to know someone (as much as possible with a fake name on the internet) and their personality. |

In the better late than never category.....
I'm still around, but I haven't been following the team much. They've just about killed my interest. Totally. And what they're doing to the stadium.....ugh. It's going to be an obnoxious, kitschy eyesore. That's what happens when you give a bunch of Arkansas hillbillies $250 million. I've been discerning and have made my decision, so I won't have much time to post after the first of the year. Maybe next spring....depends on if the team is playing crappy again. I never thought I'd look back at the Muser era as the "good old days" but it was. At least for me and my Fanhomies.
