Damon Huard signs

Damon Huard received a $2.5 million signing bonus as part of the three-year, $7.5 million contract he signed on Tuesday.

The deal also contains incentives and base salaries of $1 million (2007), $1.75 million (2008), and $2 million (2009). Huard basically re-signed for backup money, but probably has a good shot at starting in 2007.

I don't think much of Trent Green's mobility and imagine the Chiefs will change QBs next year by at least week six if not sooner. I would much rather have signed Huard than Garcia or Schaub.
