Report: Markkanen signs with Jokerit

The Globe and Mail is reporting that Jussi Markkanen has signed a one-year deal with Jokerit of the Finnish Elite league.
Markkanen was 5-9-1 with a 2.15 goal against average in 22 games with the Edmonton Oilers last season.
The Finnish born keeper has 44-47-7 record with eight ties over 128 NHL games with Edmonton and the New York Rangers.

The reason he went to play there was that was where he grew up in Finland and probly wanted to be near home. He wasn't happy with being a backup goalie.

Hes not amazing but not terrible either. A solid backup.

Cant really agree with you there. I dont feel he is a starting goalie.
