Right now, as expected, the Colts are on top of the AFC South. What I do not think was expected is the strength of the AFC South, at least as it looks at this point. The only losses for all the teams in the AFC South have come inside the division. No loss has come outside the division. In fact, all the non-division wins have looked pretty good.
I don't think anyone was thinking this could possibly be the toughest division in the NFL, I think that was reserved for the AFC North. However, this division could wind up taking that label away. Indy's next division match up is in a few weeks at Jacksonville. I will be curious to see how this division is fairing at that point.
