Post Dunleavy: Incident not a distraction

Quote:
Mike Dunleavy has seen and heard too much to be distracted by the Indiana Pacers' latest off-court issue.

Dunleavy grew up around it while living in Portland, Ore., when his father, Mike Sr., was coach of the Trail Blazers.

The Trail Blazers' constant off-court problems stretched over several years and earned them the nickname, "Jail Blazers."

The younger Dunleavy said a fight Tuesday morning at a Westside bar that police say involved two Pacers doesn't compare to what he saw out West.

"This situation, or what happened to them in the past, is nothing like what went on in Portland," said Dunleavy Jr., whose father coached the Trail Blazers from 1997-2001. "I just think it becomes more prominent in a small market. There was only one pro team (in Portland) and there's only two here. Things are made out to be bigger than what they are in that situation because people pay so much attention to the teams."
