TEXANS LASSO AHMAN
Adam Schefter of the NFL Network reports that the Houston Texans have signed running back Ahman Green. Green, who has spent the last seven seasons with the Packers, will be reuinted with former Green Bay coach/G.M. Mike Sherman in Houston. Sherman is an assistant head coach with the Texans. The aging tailback generated strong interest, and could re-establish himself as a star runner in the Texans' zone-blocking scheme. Of course, it remains to be seen what the Texans will do at quarterback. David Carr, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2002 draft, is not expected to return. The identity of his replacement is, at this point, anyone's guess. Ahman is a tough runner congrats packer fans will miss him |

Good signing by the Texans. Green will be a quick fix for our running back for 2-3 years while we find a franchise back in Cris Taylor or Wali Lundy.

Last year we showed hope of a good offensive line towards the end of the year. I guarantee we will be better next year under another year of Mike Sherman and the ZBS. Charles Spencer looks like a great LT, too bad he got hurt. Eric Winston will be a good RT/RG. Mike Flanagan is a capable center, and Chester Pitts is an improving LG. We just need to find a RG/RT in free agency or draft.

Pretty good signing by you guys even if it does only turn out to be a two year fix. Your backfield is pretty full down there with Lundy, Taylor, Dayne (it sounds like he wants to come back), and Gado. There might not be enough carries to go around to make everyone happy.
Any chance we will see Domanick Williams back next year; if ever back in the NFL? |

Williams will probably never play football again. Which is a shame, since he was going to be a star in the NFL.
