Default Carr likely to get dealt?

The St. Paul Pioneer Press says "rumors persist" the Texans may only be asking for a fourth-round pick in exchange for David Carr.

At the Senior Bowl, the general feeling was Houston would be willing to ship Carr for a third-rounder. We suspect the Texans will look for at least a first-day selection, considering they'll take a cap hit to deal him.

I guess at the time you can't fault the Texans for making the pick; it just hasn't worked out there. Five years of the experiment is enough. What's the feeling on Sage Rosenfels in Houston? Do you guys like him or think he won't do any better?

Sage will not be the starter in Houston. They will go after Jake Plummer to be the QB. I am undecided about the losing Carr for Plummer, because I think Carr will be the better player. But, Plummer has won a lot of games the past 3 years, and especially with GK as their head coach.

I think a veteran QB with some experience to lead that team would be best as well. I never saw Sage play so I can’t testify as to what kind of QB he is. It kind of makes you wonder why a move wasn't made last off-season in Houston to go with another QB. Carr had his fair share of chances and he didn't pan out. If the Texans had taken Vince Young instead of Mario Williams maybe the Texans would be the 8-8 team and not the 6-10 team. It’s hard to say, but I think they blew there chance in last years draft of making the team the best they could.

I would love to have Vince Young on the Texans, but I think Mario Williams will end up being the dominate defensive end in the league that every team needs. We would be 9-7 if Vince was our QB, he would have won us two games, but Mario won us one game against Miami.

I agree with you that the Texans need a veteran QB, I have a feeling that the rumor that the Texans are going to get Jake Plummer are true. Plummer h as had his three best seasons with Gary Kubiak.

A move wasn't made in the middle of the year to go to Sage, because Sage broke his arm or hand, making a tackle on a field goal return. If that didn't happen, I could definitely seen Sage being our QB towards the end of the year.

Being a Ravens fan... I would give up a 3rd or a 4th for Carr.. I think he is much maligned in reputation, for very little reason...

I could see you guys with Plummer... or maybe you guys should inquire about McNair

I would be inclined to trade David Carr for Kyle Boller. I think Boller and Carr need another start in another situation.

I would only do this if we get Jake Plummer.

Sounds like Brad Johnson might be looking for a new home.

I hope the Texans avoid both Johnson and Green. Johnson is just terrible, and Trent Green doesn't fit the Texans system.
