A win is a win but it sure was ugly.

The Texans had -4 passing yards! -4! With David Carr going 7 for 14 with 32 yards, it didnt allow Andre Johnson, Moulds, and Owen Daniels to step up. However, Ron Dayne proved that he can still be a power back by racking up 95 yards on 18 carries. Derrick Burgess ate Eric Winston's lunch by getting 1.5 sacks and many QB hurries. Defense was the real key in the victory for the Texans. Demeco Ryans 12 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 interception. Simply put, he is a beast. The Texans had 5 takeaways from the Raiders and only the Texans only had two turnovers. Demarcus Faggins returned a fumble for a touchdown also. The Texans also had 5 sacks on the day. Demeco, Glenn Earl, ND Kalu, Jason Babin, and Lionel Dalton all had sacks. Although the Texans had 5 turnovers, the Raiders were still able to move the ball on them. But the Raiders couldnt score points because Sebastian Janikoswki couldnt make a field goal. Sebastian was 0 for 3 in the game. The Texans special teams won the game for them. They didnt score a touchdown but Jerome Mathis returned a ball to the 3 yard line for a Wali Lundy score. Also, Dexter Wynn returned a punt to the 20 and would have been a touchdown if Dexter McLeon would have blocked Shane Lechler. Kris Brown was 3 for 4 on field goals. At least we won. |

The Texans could go 2-2 in their next 4 games and finish 6-10. They will beat the Titans and Browns and lose to the Colts and the Pats.

That is why I said the could go 2-2. There best record their best record chance is 6-10, which is better than 2-14 but the most likely record will be 5-11. My prediction for the record before the season started was 6-10 and I hope that comes true.
