RUMOR: Predators in the market for an experienced backup goalie

Since Vokoun will miss 2-6 weeks with a torn thumb ligament,

"The Predators recalled Karl Goehring from Milwaukee of the American Hockey League to serve as Mason's backup. In eight games with the Admirals, Goehring had a 3-4 record, a 3.61 goals-against average and .876 save percentage.

It remains to be seen whether the Predators will try to acquire a more experienced goalie to back up Mason over the next few weeks."

NOTE: Rumor has it that Poile has been speaking to JFJ about acquiring Aubin or Tellqvist. Possibly talking to the Coyotes or Bruins as well....

I know he is old, and I know he is not exactly who people want to entrust their franchises with even as a backup -- but what about talking to TB about Sean Burke?

I guess this is a moot point now that Nashville claimed Michael Leighton (from Anaheim Ducks) on re-entry waivers.
