Rumor: Senators Shopping Gerber

TSN.CA: Darren Dreger reported yesterday Ottawa Senators GM John Muckler has been talking with other general managers regarding a potential trade of Martin Gerber but the struggling goalie is a tough sell under the cap system.

Gerber is being paid $3.7 million for the next 3 years.

Any takers?

Eklund is reporting that Tampa is offering Denis for Gerber (e2).

I just don't see this happening....

I know this might be of interest to post on the Sens forum as well, but it will shock me to see who takes his contract even for Denis.

I'd take Gerber over Nittymaki or Esche anyday.

Agreed. I still think he's got plenty of time this season to turn it around and help the team have success...

These days having two decent goalies is very important it seems...
