Default Flyers acquire York from Isles

The Philadelphia Flyers acquired center Mike York from the New York Islanders in exchange for forward Randy Robitaille and a fifth-round draft pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

The trade marks the second deal the two teams have completed with each other in less than a week. On Saturday, the Flyers acquired defenseman Fred Meyer and a conditional third-round draft pick.

"Mike is a younger player," said Flyers GM Paul Holmgren. "He has had very good offensive numbers over the course of his career with the New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers and the Islanders.

none of the moves that Holmgren has made makes any sense, because the season is over. We shouldn't be trading draft picks, we should be getting as many picks as possible.
