Theodore to test the FA market

So Jose has a good year and thinks he'll do better elsewhere, haven't we seen this before........

The Denver Post reports that Jose Theodore will test the free agent market on July 1, as contract talks between the Avalanche and and the veteran goaltender have broken down.

"I would say we are going to July 1," Theodore's agent, Don Meehan told the paper. "There's a chance we could still negotiate with (the Avalanche) after that, but right now it's looking like we're going to July 1."

I'll bet he'll stay in Colorado somehow. I don't believe that they'll entrust the #1 spot to Budaj.

I can't imagine anybody giving him the money that he expects either way.

Ya i second Go Habs Go since Colorado needs a goalie and Theo almost owes it to the Avs since they didnt buy him out last season so he was able to start playing again.

Just a rumour but I heard the Sens are interested in Theo
