Default Fanhome Keeper League

I would like to start the rules discussion and signups. I figure a 12 team league. We could probably have 3 keepers per team and draft for keepers as soon as everyone is signed up and the rules are pretty much nailed down...

I figure the basic rules could look like:

Passing Yards (30 yards per point)
Passing Touchdowns (6)
Interceptions (-2)
Rushing Yards (15 yards per point)
Rushing Touchdowns (6)
Receptions (.5)
Reception Yards (15 yards per point)
Reception Touchdowns (6)
Return Touchdowns (6)
2-Point Conversions (2)
Fumbles Lost (-2)
Offensive Fumble Return TD (6)
Field Goals 0-19 Yards (3)
Field Goals 20-29 Yards (3)
Field Goals 30-39 Yards (3)
Field Goals 40-49 Yards (4)
Field Goals 50+ Yards (5)
Missed Field Goals 0-40 Yards (-1)
Point After Attempt Made (1)
Point After Attempt Missed (-1)
Sack (1)
Interception (2)
Fumble Recovery (2)
Touchdown (6)
Safety (2)
Block Kick (2)
Points Allowed 0 points (10)
Points Allowed 1-6 points (7)
Points Allowed 7-13 points (4)
Points Allowed 14-20 points (1)
Points Allowed 21-27 points (0)
Points Allowed 28-34 points (-1)
Points Allowed 35+ points (-4)

Thoughts?

Default agree...

I hate people who cut and run when their teams take a dump or the just get bored. So please stay active, The current league im in makes us post we are here each week, yes its a pain in the ass but atleast you know people are still active. so maybe we could do a "check in" or something each week. Dont check in for 2 weeks in a row, your out of the league.

With exceptions, of course..... but for the exceptions, a nice notice like "hey, I'm going on vacation" etc....

Granted there are always unforseen stuff... but you take that as they come... hospital visits, family issues, etc.....

How is this for positions? Considering a 12 team league (unless people would want a larger league)

Starting Lineup
1QB
2RB
2WR
1 WR/RB
1TE
1K
1DEF

Bench consists of 6 players... giving a roster of 15 per team... keepers consist of 1/5 of a team (3 players)... The WR/RB slot is usually a WR... but I like the added flexibiity for bye weeks.... but if people would wany 2RB and 3WR each week, that is doable....

Oh yea, I agree with that 100%...Drop a line if you will be gone for vaction and cant check in. If something unforseen happens, like sickness or whichever, just as soon as you can let us know you wont be able to make check ins.

Draft order, of course will be randomized thru a random number generator...

I figure 1 order for the keeper draft... and a new order for the draft for next season... we'll have to decide on a new random order or just the reverse of the keeper draft order....

Also.... need to determine:

Ability to trade draft picks... Since we will be drafting in a forum on here... it should NOT be a problem as long as I keep careful track of all trades...

Style of draft.... serpentine, or constant

Playoff structure... playoffs in week 17 as the finals or 16 as the finals.... how many teams of the 12 in the playoffs.... etc

Sounds good, I feel the drafting order should just be reversed of the keeper. First pick in ther keep, last in the draft for next year seems more than fair to me.

Once again looks good, just have a thread to keep track of trade/picks

I like serpentine drafing but which ever the majority would want to do.

how about, 12 teams, 4 division of 3 teams , each division winner plus 2 wild card team make playoffs. So 6 teams in the playoffs. As far as when the finals are im not sure, I dont really care either way, once again what ever the majority wants.

There my 2 cents!

IS this going to be a 100% fanhome only league or will I guess "outsiders" be able to join?

Since it will be handled on a Fanhome Forum... i would assume that an outsider would have to join and post on Fanhome... else they would not be able to do many of the aspects in the off season and draft (which will be an 'offline' draft hosted on the forum with the results uploaded to wahtever service we use)

Didnt even think about that, well its free to sign up to fanhome and this would be a good way to add some members (if the league doesnt fill up with current member), so it shouldnt be hard to fill the league. Looks like everything is close to being done and set up,Hopefully people start to join.

You can count me in. Only thing I prefer is a serpentine draft. As far as trading picks or when the finals are, I have no perference. Will keepers always count as your first three picks in the draft, or will we do something different with those after this year?
