This is a 14-team H2H League with a strange scoring system -- points are awarded in TENTHS (e.g., 1B=.333, 2B=.667, etc.). This is set up so that an outstanding week would score a team somewhere around 100pts., and matchups are often won with 60-70pts.
My Batting Lineup is as follows (currently): C Russell Martin 1B Derrek Lee 2B Josh Barfield 3B Miguel Cabrera SS Edgar Renteria OF Chone Figgins OF Nick Markakis OF Alfonso Soriano DH David DeJesus BN Robinson Cano (2B-eligible) BN Adrian Gonzalez (started at DH until recently; 1B-eligible) I am tied for 3rd currently, with a record of 8-5. I am also on a 4-game win streak, with at least 2 of those wins coming down to the final day of competition). The offer I have presented to me is this: I GIVE: - Derrek Lee (1B, DH) THEY GIVE: - Josh Willingham (OF, DH) - Jim Thome (DH only) Lee has a 5-game suspension coming his way after the A/S Break, but that's just a 1-week hit. Given that I have 3 decent OFers (plus DeJesus), would you make this deal? Gonzalez can replace Lee at 1B, but he has been running hot & cold all season long. Thome would lock up the DH spot and limit my flexibility. On the year, however, Willingham alone has an equal number of points to Lee (73 to Lee's 70.9). What would you do? I'm leaving Pitching out of this equation for now, BTW. |

I don't really see any reseason to make a deal like this.
Yeah, Lee's value may be at a low and with a suspension coming up may not help any but Thome is a lesser player and is more injury prone and Willingham may be a good player but he isn't proven to be any better then what you got. There should be a good reson to make a trade and I don't see one here. |

Which is probably why I'm seeking input on this one. Nothing really jumps out at me about this deal, and it looks like the same is true for you. Thanks!
As far as the pending suspension, I mentioned that just because I know it would come up in the discussion. I have a hard time seeing how 5 games will definitively affect the season. I'm going to treat this as Lee-for-Willingham (with a kicker), which is really easy decision to make. |

Yeah, That suspension is nothing. apealed suspensions always get lowered. He will serve the suspension but you can trust it will only be for 3 games and starting Gonzalez for 3 days your likely will not notice a diference for Lee isn't playing at his best right now anyway and hopefully havig the few days off will give him some rest and help him get it going.
