I have a VERY interesting trade opportunity on the board.
I give up SP Brad Penny SP Tim Wakefield SP Dontrelle Willis for SP Bronson Arroyo 3B Miguel Cabrera if I do this deal I would turn around and trade 3B David Wright for SP Carlos Zambrano So I would give up Penny, Willis, Wakefield, Wright for Zambrano, Arroyo, Cabrera....thoughts? I am trying to see if I can wiggle to get another SP out of the deal but either way I love Sheets, Zambrano, Hudson, Hamels, Arroyo, Josh Johnson, CVargas, JSosa, CJames, SHill, MBelisle. Basically a wash between Wright and Cabrera so is it worth it to trade Brad Penny, Dontrelle Willis and Tim Wakefield for Carlos Zambrano and Bronson Arroyo?

Well my team scored 141 points today alone. Giving me 190 for the week. No one else has scored 130 points so far, so I am crushing everyone right now and have regained the points lead in a big way. I still have 6 starts to go this week and Prince Fielder is on fire.

A big win this week to improve to 7-2 for the Milwaukee Maulers. This upcoming week has me very concerned though.....
Last Week Results Milwaukee Maulers C Michael Barrett 2.5 1B Prince Fielder 38.5 2B B.J. There was one other team (EL GATO) that scored 399.17, but he was third in the league in scoring this week. Gary Pounders won his week by less than 3 points, which was pretty frustrating for me, since he should have lost with such a low score.....(274) but what can you do? Milwaukee Maulers 7 Wins 2 Losses 0 Games Back 2906.7 Points For Gary Pounders 7 Wins 2 Losses 0 Games Back 2858.7 Points For EL GATO 5 Wins 4 Losses 2 Games Back 2800.7 Points For 2nd2none 5 Wins 4 Losses 2 Games Back 2535.0 Points For COME BACK KIDS 5 Wins 4 Losses 2 Games Back 2448.5 Points For No Joke 3 Wins 6 Losses 4 Games Back 2462.5 Points For Obviously with 5 teams of 6 having winning records our division has been crushing the other division in interdivisional play. Which hasn't helped me at all. So far my season has been 3 Wins, 1 Loss, 3 Wins, 1 Loss, 1 Win....If I were to keep that up obviously I would likely be the best team in the league, but I think that streak is in serious jeopardy this week with a first place opponent from the other division. The Balco Bombers!!! I dropped Catcher Michael Barrett after he got beat up by his Cubbies teammate. I picked up Bengie Molina who has been far more consistant anyways, and is hot as of right now as he scored 18 last week, 19 the week before. I can't wait to add Josh Johnson to my rotation. Also going to drop OF David DeJesus and pick up another SP either Justin Germano, Brad Thompson, or Miguel Batista. Balco's Bombers C Brian McCann 7G 1B Carlos Guillen 6G 2B Brandon Phillips 6G 3B Miguel Cabrera 6G SS Cristian Guzman 6G OF Jermaine Dye 7G OF Curtis Granderson 6G OF Hunter Pence 6G DH David Ortiz 7G SP Doug Davis 6/8 BOS (Josh Beckett) SP Tom Glavine 6/5 PHI (Jamie Moyer) 6/10 @DET (Nate Robertson) SP Tom Gorzelanny 6/8 @NYY (Andy Pettitte) SP Jon Lieber 6/4 SF (Barry Zito) 6/9 @KC (Gil Meche) SP C.C. Sabathia 6/5 KC (Jorge De La Rosa) 6/10 @CIN (Aaron Harang) RP Chad Gaudin 6/8 @SF (Tim Lincecum) He has 9 starts to my 7, but I have to say I love my matchups a lot more than his. I'm going against John Maine, Jason Marquis and a bunch of scrubs. He's going against Josh Beckett, Andy Pettitte, Barry Zito, Gil Meche, Aaron Harang and Tim Lincecum.... I feel like I can outhit him this week if my pitching just equals up. Gary Pounders has 8 Starts and a RP vs. 6 Starts and a RP. Bill Hall needs to have a huge week for the Kernels to beat Gary Pounders. Milwaukee Maulers (7W-2L) 322.96 Avg Points Per Week vs. Balco's Bombers (6W-3L) 283.28 Avg Points Per Week Gary Pounders (7W-2L) 317.63 Avg Points Per Week vs. Kernels (4W-5L) 279.61 Avg Points Per Week

I have been offered a very interesting trade. First things first, Travis Hafner is now eligible at 1B so my hitting lineup looks like
C Bengie Molina 1B Prince Fielder/Travis Hafner 2B BJ Upton/Ian Kinsler SS Hanley Ramirez 3B David Wright/BJ Upton/Chad Tracy OF Hideki Matsui OF Josh Willingham OF Michael Cuddyer/Josh Hamilton/David DeJesus/BJ Upton I have been offered SP Daisuke Matsuzaka 221.3 Points in 12 Starts SP Chris Young 208.0 Points in 12 Starts for 1B Prince Fielder 247.5 Points in 228 ABs SP Dontrelle Willis 185.7 Points in 13 Starts Now obviously this would hurt my lineup a little, and I would be thinner, but I think with Molina, Hafner, Kinsler, Wright, Ramirez in the IF I'm very strong, plus now I'd be able to play Matsui, Willingham, Cuddyer in the OF, leaving me Josh Hamilton, BJ Upton or Chad Tracy as my DH....and getting two top 30 SP Young (27th) and Matsuzaka (17th). Both of them are actually higher on the list, but everyone else has made their 13th start and they are both going Sunday. Without losing a top 30 SP, in that Willis is 41st, behind Cole Hamels, Brad Penny, Tim Hudson, Ben Sheets and Matt Belisle. That's 5 pitchers on my team I already have that he's pitching worse than, and everyone knows Willis isn't a second half pitcher. Shoot Jorge Sosa is pitching better as well he just got a late start. Sosa has averaged 23.77 a week since he started, and Willis in that time has averaged 13.93 a week. heck for the year he has only averaged 20.62. I lose a lot in Prince Fielder....but man this deal is going to be hard to pass up. I also have an offer out there that is in some serious talk where I give 1B Prince Fielder 3B Chad Tracy SP Shawn Hill (or SP Tim Wakefield) for DH David Ortiz 3B Ryan Braun SP Tom Glavine They didn't accept it, but they are definately talking about it. What do you think I should do?

Dontrelle Willis had to leave his last game early, so he may be headed downhill. I would attempt to dump him off now. But I still wouldn't do the top trade because Prince is just too dominating and I don't think much of Chris Young.
The bottom trade is a little better though. David Ortiz usually heats up at this time and Braun is having a solid season. It's a tough decision though, but I would deny it because Ortiz can only play Utility, can't he? Btw....Is Corey Hart taken in your league? He's been hot lately and would help your OF a lot
