I think you're offering way too much. Dunn is probably more valuable than Matsui in a fantasy context because of his superior power numbers. Kent is better than Brian Roberts. Plus you're throwing Hamels in?

I would not say that Kent is now better than Roberts in a 7x7 league that includes both hits and BA for offensive players... Kent will probably beat Roberts in only 2 of 7 categories (HR, RBI)... but Roberts should have double digit HR and decent RBI for being a leadoff guy.....

And even with this type of limit/minimum setup on innings (Which is frankly the most stupid thing I have ever seen in my life)... Hamels has value this year.... Dunn has power, but walks are being counted in this league, so that pushes into one of his strengths (he does not hit for high average).... so Matsui should be more valuable all around, than Dunn but Dunn will be more valuable here than in a 5x5 league for I believe his # of walks will outweigh his lesser amount of hits

Personally... with Wainwright not certain on his status in the rotation and/or the pen.... and me not being impressed with the pitches you have that are beneath Hamels... I just don't see how you do this right now, even with the upgrade to Roberts.... I like to trade from depth to improve at a position... not to widen one of your weaknesses (a plethora of unproven pitchers, of which Hamels is the top one or the 2nd one behind Bush).... If you were trading Dunn, Kent, and either Fielder or LaRoche, I could understand that, because you are trading from your depth

I don't see the point of that trade for you. What's Roberts going to get you, 30-35 steals (1-2 per week)? That's not going to be enough to win you the steals category in a head-to-head league. Keep Dunn, offset his low BA with your higher AVG hitters, and win the other 6 offensive categories. If you want to trade, look to upgrade the back end of your rotation.

Without knowing what other teams in your league need, it's just guesswork, but try to package Wainwright (who will be a starter this season, not a closer) with LaRoche and find an innings eater who will get you a couple of complete games during the season. Felix Hernandez most likely won't get you any, what with the Mariners keeping a close watch on his pitch count. As DD said, trade from your strength to improve a weakness, not vice-versa.

You need Sbs... Kent is not the Kent of old... I say more than a good enough move

Well, as I mentioned before, I don't think the steals are going to help you as much you'd hope, but I like the Kent/Lugo upgrade. In the Boston lineup, Lugo is going to hit for higher avg, have more steals, score just as many runs and have just as many walks as Kent will. That alone makes it an upgrade in your favor, good trade overall.

I think that you would be getting robbed. Kent will put up as good or better numbers than Roberts. Hamels is going to have a huge year. He already started out great tonight with a 7 IP, 0 ER, 8 K outing tonight against the Braves, and Adam Dunn might return to powerhouse form. Horrible trade I think.

Do not read the results from the first 3 games of the season to project season performance... .this is a very typical rookie mistake that experienced players take advantage of, when they drop superior players with slightly slower starts for a flash-in-the-pan starter who hit 3 HR in the first 4 games (***cough Chris Shelton 2006*** cough)
