A year or so ago, I was debating starting a fantasy franchise league where every team has both a Football and Baseball team.
The football league would be a points based league with a starting QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, K, DL, DL, LB, LB, DB, DB The baseball league would be a roto 5x5 league with starting C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, OF, OF, OF, UTIL, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P Obviously the starting lineups are subject to change, I am just trying to see if there would be serious interest in this league. It would be a pay league, at least 100 bucks, 50 for each season. You'd have to buy in for 2 years of the team so 200 bucks to start. In the Football league you would keep 14 every year, and 16 player keeper in the baseball league. You would be allowed to trade football players for baseball players at any time of the year...there would be a date before the baseball season in which you had to cut your roster down to 16, and a week later we would have our baseball fill roster, draft, and the same for football. Your baseball roster could never drop below 16 and your football never under 14. This is just a thought I'd had about a dual-sport franchise league...the league would start with the upcoming football season, because otherwise the football draft would be in the middle of the baseball season, and to start with, I don't like that idea since it would be a larger draft initially compared to the roster-fill draft every following year. I am basically posting this just to see what kind of interest there would be for this format, if any. I went on a little long simply to show that it wouldn't be one jumbled mess, it would have a well-defined league constitution and guidelines. Thoughts? Questions?
