In a keeper league, I have one SP spot open and it's between Matt Morris and V. Padilla....I know Morris sucked in '06 but he was pitching hurt for quite awhile and he's a proven commodity. Padilla is 3 years younger and should get a ton of run support...I'm totally on the fence with this one. Any input is greatly appreciated. My starting rotation is
Lowe Lilly Wang James Cabrera Arroyo Patterson Padilla or Morris backups are Bush Bonser McCarthy A. Sanchez also have Maholm and Livan Hernandez, though likely cutting htem... |

Thanks for the background Otter, will be fun to see how it plays out. Morris not only sucked last year due to health problems but he also sucked in 04 and 05, guess I’d rather put my money on the guy that has showed some sign of life recently.

Morris is an injury problem and Padilla is younger like you say and he is at that age where his best years could mybe happen and Morris may not ever be what he was.
So Padilla may be the better choose. Although I don't think it really mathers at this point. |
